A recurring physical-count audit process was introduced specifically to catch phantom inventory before it became a pattern of quietly lost sales — not a full audit constantly, but a rolling schedule focused on the SKUs most prone to drift (fast-moving seasonal items, anything sold across both channels). Product data itself got the same operational attention: descriptions, sizing information, and availability messaging were reviewed and standardized across every channel, since a product page that hasn't been touched since launch tends to accumulate exactly the kind of small inaccuracies (wrong size chart, outdated photo, stale "ships in 2 days" promise) that erode trust at checkout even when the item genuinely is in stock.
