Concept: From Scanned PDFs to a Searchable Product Catalog

Starting Point

A 15-year-old fabrication business with real capacity and real certifications — but a website built on an outdated template, no mobile version, and product specifications only available as scanned PDFs.

The Problem

Buyers researching suppliers online had no way to evaluate credibility from the site. Specifications weren't searchable or indexable, so the business wasn't showing up for the exact technical search terms its buyers were using.

Our Approach

The site was rebuilt around buyer trust signals — certifications and capacity information placed above the fold — and the PDF-only catalogue was converted into structured, searchable product pages. SEO foundations were built in from the start so the new pages could actually rank for the technical terms buyers search.

What Changed

  • Mobile-responsive rebuild, replacing a desktop-only template
  • Structured, searchable product/spec pages replacing scanned PDFs
  • Certifications and capacity surfaced above the fold
  • Fast quote-request path added for B2B buyers

The Outcome

This is a concept build — no results are claimed. Based on industry data, structured/indexable B2B product pages typically outperform PDF-only catalogues in organic search visibility, and sites with sub-2-second load times convert at meaningfully higher rates than slower ones.

Industry Context

Businesses ranking in Google's Local Pack receive 126% more traffic and 93% more actions (calls, clicks) than those ranked 4–10 (SeoProfy/BiziQ 2026 local search data). For a manufacturer relying on regional buyers, that visibility gap is often the whole ballgame.
